No single geophysical instrument can be used to detect all underground utilities, NAEVA picks from their geophysical “toolbox” of complementary geophysical instruments to provide a complete on-site mark-out. NAEVA can accurately and precisely locate utilities employing a variety of instruments that primarily utilize the principles of electromagnetics (EM) and are designed to detect underground utilities constructed of electrically conductive materials. If EM methods will not detect a particular utility, GPR can be used to image the subsurface feature. Compared to typical “one-call” services, NAEVA offers the advantages of experienced scientists with a focus on complex commercial and industrial sites.
